A huge thank you to everyone who sent me birthday messages. You all made my heart incredibly happy.
I had a beautiful couple of days celebrating (I totally milked it, you guys😁), was very spoiled by my gorgeous family, and thoroughly enjoyed making myself a pretty strawberries-and-cream cake with caramel buttercream frosting and fondant decorations. On the whole, not too shabby. 🥰
Thank you all for making me feel loved. I adore you all ten times over in return. 💖💖💖

It feels so wrong to celebrate personal milestones

It feels so wrong to celebrate personal milestones when there’s so much devastation and suffering in the world right now, but I couldn’t let this day pass without paying homage to the man who married me on this day 25 years ago.
Jason is my soulmate, my rock, my cheerleader, my safe place, and my best friend. He loves me even when I’m at my worst, and every day he shows our two sons how to be strong, loving, fiercely passionate men who don’t think violence is the definition of masculinity.
This morning he surprised me with a very special anniversary present - he’d written me a beautiful love song. And that’s what makes him so very special. After all these years, he can still make me feel like we’re young lovers who’ve just met.
Happy anniversary, my darling, romantic, amazing man. I wish everyone could experience the kind of love you shower on me daily. If people spent as much time cultivating love as they did hate, (yes, I’m talking to the racists out there), the world would look very different today. 💕💕💕💕
